Flood Insurance Rate Map

The flood insurance rate maps or "FIRM", is an official map put out by FEMA with special risk areas and hazard zones. The maps can be used to locate properties in flood insurance risk areas, to mitigate flood damage and administer flood plain management.

Insurance companies, lenders, federal agencies and builders us FIRM to determine insurance needs, risks and help determinations on loans and grant based on locations of property.
